Our society was formed in June 2014 and is dedicated to furthering the specialty of Acute Medicine within Wales, and supporting our local trainees. It was established by a group of doctors in Acute Medicine – both trainees and consultants.
Our aim is to raise the profile of our rapidly developing specialty. We also provide a network via which all Welsh trainees can come together to support each other and enhance their education and training opportunities.
Our hope is that both WAPS and Acute Medicine continue to flourish over the coming years. We are passionate about our chosen specialty and are keen to attract similarly motivated individuals.
